Weekly Gym: Workout planner for iPhone. Log sets in one tap, any day

Weekly Gym is a workout planner where the week is the unit, not the workout. You plan your sets for the week, then log them in one tap on whatever day you get to them, with no workout to start or finish. By muscle shows what each muscle got so far.

How it works

  1. 1. Plan the week

Put exercises on the days you mean to do them, with sets, reps and weight, from 216 built-in exercises or your own. Search finds them by the names people use, like "RDL" or "DB row". The plan repeats every week until you change it.

  2. 2. Tap to log

Tap an exercise when you've done it, and its open sets are logged with the plan's reps and weight. Undo and Edit come up right away, and if you'd rather log one set per tap, Settings changes it.

  3. 3. Do it on any day

Days are suggestions. A set shows under the day you did it, so Thursday's pull-ups done on Wednesday sit under Wednesday, and nothing is ever late. Each week starts fresh from the plan.

The Next up widget logs your next exercise from the Home Screen, and the Lock Screen has one too; the Up next widgets list what's left of the week. Say "Log my next set in Weekly Gym" to Siri, or put Log Next Set on the Action button or in Control Center. The widgets and Siri show what they logged, with Undo.

Every muscle you worked

By muscle shows the body map and each muscle's sets this week, against a target that comes from your plan, so there's nothing extra to set up. A compound lift counts toward every muscle it works: a full set for each main muscle and half for each muscle that assists. You can change that per exercise, or for all of them in Settings.

Why the week? When the weekly sets are the same, studies find little difference in muscle growth between training a muscle once or several times a week (Schoenfeld, Grgic and Krieger, 2019). Counting the assisting sets as half is also the count that fit the data best in a larger analysis of 67 studies (Pelland and others, 2026).

What Weekly Gym doesn't do

There are no workouts to start or finish, no streaks and no warnings for sets you haven't done. It doesn't write your program or tell you what weight to lift; the plan is yours. And it's for strength training only, with no cardio and nothing social.
